Look at those guys…so rugged. And that sunrise! Doesn’t it just make you want to swim in the sky?!?!?! Jared is traveling with our good friend named Joel. Joel was able to upload some great pictures that he took in New Zealand. He also wrote an awesome email…I know that none of you know Joel, but you should! He is great.
“Anyway, thus far, some fun and interesting things we’ve done have been getting rained on our first night of backpacking the Queen Charollete Track, soaking our stuff and making us miserable for a bit, we’ve gotten up for three sunrises, our last one was on the coast, facing Antarctica ( that was beautiful ), we’ve met a lady working at an info booth who was an Orc in Lord of the Rings (the final battle in Return of the King at the Pelenor Fields), we’ve seen a glacial lake with icebergs in it and one of them cracked in half and floated away, we toured the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, roomed with a creepy man from Switzerland, hit a bird while driving on the highway (it actually just flew into the grill), and have spotted some 4 cute girls…oh, and we saw a penguin on the cliffs that was totally hamming it up for us tourists snapping pictures. “
(note to Joel: I hope you don’t mind that I didn’t ask for permission to post your run-on sentence!)
I wish we had a shot of that penguin….
