My Labor Day Weekend

Well, as it tends to go over the summer, you end up seeing a lot of posts about all the weddings, engagements, and events we’re shooting. You don’t see very many posts, though, about some of thing things we’re doing outside of work. There’s several reasons for that – the main one being that we don’t really do much outside of work over the summer:)But sometimes we just get in the habit of not posting that much about personal ventures.
However, I had Labor Day weekend off, and decided to bring my point and shoot with me for the whole thing. I had a wonderful weekend (besides the weather . . . ) and thought I’d show you all:)
We start off with the first ever Bauman Beach Day. With the weather being the way it had, and all of us melting down here at the studio, what better way to kick off the long weekend than a late afternoon at the beach!
From left to rightL Bronson, Glenn (Kristin’s husband), Megan (Bronson’s wife), Kristin, Sara (my girlfriend). John and Jacob showed up a few minutes later.

Megan and Kristin – having a much less serious conversation about exercise

Glenn – getting ready to do battle with Bronson in frisbee

Saturday I was given a ticket to the USC opening day football game. From left to right: Kaz (our old studio manager), John (my roommate), Jeff (college friend), and me:)

On Sunday, Sara and I went to a BBQ at our good friend’s the Gillon’s. You might know Jessica and John – they are the owners of Events By Design. They have a wonderful place out in Escondido – I think we ended up in the pool for the entire day. A shot of my carne asada tacos . . . so good:)

Monday was a day off, so Sara and I decided to try something we’d never done before – wine tasting. We got together with Bernadette and Eric, one of our couples from last year who we’ve become good friends with, and headed out to Temecula. They have a sweet convertible which made the drive all the more fun.

All four of us at Thornton Winery – my favorite was the Shiraz:)

We did suffer a casualty – my sunglasses . . . .

All in all – a great weekend off! We’ve got two more jam-packed months of weddings and then it’s on to albums:)
