She got to use them on her invitation that I designed for her too!

Kelly and Chris packed it all up last week…After living for awhile in lovely San Diego, life is taking them onward to new and exciting adventures…not in San Diego. But before they left, their friends (and ours) The Murdocks and the Hughes decided to hire us to send them on their way with some radi-cool images from San Diego that they can show off to all the people in Georgia who have never seen how great this place is.

A few weeks ago, John, the best jazz trumpet player I know and former groom of ours called me up to work on some portraits of his Jazz Quintet – I knew we needed some sweet headshots but also an epic group shot or two so, we spent a couple hours making these (In and around Crill Performance Hall at PLNU):

During these winter months down here at the studio, we’re super busy meeting with couples about summer weddings and getting albums ready to go from last year. Its such a nice change of pace, but I’ve got to admit – its about this time of year that I start itching to shoot more. Summer is just around the corner, and with that comes lots and lots of wedding photography!
In the meantime, though, this is the BEST time for portrait sessions! We’ve put together some killer specials for both past and future clients to take advantage of:

Our sessions are anywhere in San Diego County, and usually are around an hour. We’ll invite you down to the studio for a private viewing with family and friends, and post all your images online. These specials are only good through March 15!!!

Ok, so I have to start off by apologizing. It has been MONTHS since I’ve posted – I am so sorry! Its one of those things that I just can’t seem to get back in the habit of doing!
With that being said, I figured I’d start back by posting a little something about a vacation I just got back from! Sara and I went up to Washington to visit family for a week! I also had the opportunity to speak for Pictage at their Seattle/Tacoma PUG Group! We had a blast hanging out the whole week, and got fantastic weather.

Of course, we had to do baby portraits! Portraits at six months are a great time to shoot, and Sebastian is such a happy little baby.

Yet another weekend in June that I was on the road . . . but all for exciting stuff! This weekend was for my sister Laura and her graduation from Stanford! Laura is a pre-med graduating with a degree in Human Biology. She’ll spend the next year applying to med schools and saving some money. Med school . . . much to hard for me I think I’ll stick to taking pictures!
It was a great weekend – I was able to see all the things she’s called home for the past four years. She has some awesome friends, and of course I was recruited to take a few pictures.
Congrats Laura – graduating from Stanford is a huge accomplishment and you should be really proud – I am!

So I don’t know if I mentioned this, but the one downer of the weekend was that it was SUPER HOT! Jeremiah and I fashioned these wrap-like hats out of shirts in an attempt to shield ourselves from the sun. Did I mention it was hot?
