I have been dying to blog about this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our own Jacob Willis got married last month in Fresno. Eder and I had the distinct pleasure and honor of being the ones to shoot with them on their incredibly awesome wedding day. From top to bottom, start to finish, every detail was beautiful and fitted their personalities and styles perfectly. Since they are photographers, I knew I had to deliver the goods. We brought some lights for extra radicalness too…I do have to admit that their ceremony was the most emotional one I’ve ever shot. I will blame it on the music but, I almost lost it in the middle of the ceremony several times. The home where they had their reception was incredible and a really fun environment. The day after the wedding, we took a drive to Yosemite for a day-after session with them and BLEW.IT.UP! Love you guys!

Ohhhhh, Stacy and John. We had so much fun! this wedding was an inspiring one for me for a few reasons; 1. The love 2. The awesome location (Bernardo winery) 3. The great friends and family that were there in support. 4. Stacy and John are an inspiring couple to shoot because they are so darn cute!
We did a few extra fun things at this wedding including the photo booth, some cool lighting and using the plethora of great locations and available props to spice things up

When I met with Jenna and Brandon for the first time, we discovered that we had a few fun things in common – although I had graduated from Point Loma High long before they did, that is where they started their beautiful relationship. Since then, so many great things have happened in their lives that has culminated in a beautiful winery wedding. They held the wedding at South Coast winery and brought in some really amazing vendors to make it all happen; Events By Design coordinated and Dj’d, Willem-Aidan created florals, Concepts Event Design provided linens etc, Jenna’s Lazaro gown was INCREDIBLE (especially on her), and The vineyard was of course a really great place to shoot it all. A big thanks to Sara France for shooting with me!!!

When I first saw Becca the morning of their wedding, I would have never guessed she was super sick. Her eyes were still full of energy and excitement and she was as fresh as..well, something really really fresh. The only clue was the constant intake of Emergen-C that her bridesmaids kept supplying.
Becca and Matt are from Minnesota and convinced a lot of Minnesotans to join them here in San Diego for the weekend – I must admit I haven’t heard that many people with that particular accent all gathered in one place before
Due to their super sweet personalities and easy-goingness, I had a great time shooting with Becca and Matt and we made sure to take advantage of all the classic Balboa Park architecture so that their friends from out of town would be jealous when they saw their pictures. jk. But we did have a great time!
The ceremony was held behind the Prado and the reception was in the Loggia room. Bob of Artistic Productions was on hand to provide his ever-so-stellar DJ skills – some great toasts, dinner and dancing ensued…another great day at “the park”.

My First 2010 wedding…What a way to kick off the year!!! Jessica and Matt hail from Georgia and although they live in San Diego now, most of their guests didn’t have to travel very far.
As it was my first time in Athens, there was a lot to see and learn about the town and the area. My first impressions are that it is a young college town that thrives on its young students energy. It was great – cheap delicious food, tons of fun and $1 PBR’s on tap!
The weekend started with a brunch for the ladies and a really cool rehearsal dinner – on the wedding day, the groomsmen started it off right with a little paintball in the morning and as the rain started to come down, the preparations began. The ceremony was on the UGA campus which was a great backdrop for the day. The ladies got ready at a historic house right near the Chapel and all of the great details including the bouquets, black dresses and antique furniture looked great in the soft rainy day light.
After a very personal and touching ceremony, we headed through the 40 degree weather (including rain) to some really fun spots on the way to the Georgian – another classic building where the reception took place. The dinner and dancing was a ton of fun for the guests and the evening finished with Jessica and Matt dashing through a tunnel of umbrellas to their limo – Their honeymoon in Bora Bora and Tahiti greeted them with slightly better weather conditions…

Eder and I had the pleasure of photographing Susan and David’s wedding last weekend at the Lodge at Torrey Pines.  It was a gorgeous day that carried a lot of significance.  Three weeks prior, Susan and David had been in a serious car accident, and both had suffered serious injuries like broken hips and legs and such.  For awhile, I wasn’t even sure if the wedding was still going to happen ….

In the end, it couldn’t have turned out more beautiful.  Susan recovered enough to be able to move around in a walker and wheelchair, and David was hobbling around in a walking cast.  The ceremony was extremely emotional and touching; I couldn’t help but shed a tear or two.  I left that day very thankful, which is fitting for this week.  Thankful that I have a job that can touch me as much as it does.  Thankful that I was able to be around Susan and David on their wedding day, as they showed a tremendous amount of courage and joy.

Like I said, I’ll post more on the whole day later, but I thought I’d share the video that Joe Park put together, and the blog post (click HERE) their coordinator Liz Beck posted.  Both are also very touching!

I got out of bed on the morning of this wedding, and looked at the temperature – it was already 80 degrees Luckily, Dani and Aaron picked the RB Courtyard for their wedding and reception, so there was a nice breeze blowing when Jacob and I arrived. And that was really about the only thing you could complain about at this wedding! When I showed up, Dani was pretty much all ready to go, ahead of schedule, and just relaxing with her friends. It started the day off perfectly, and it stayed relaxed and fun for the rest of the time we were there.
I loved working with these two – I had so much fun at their engagement session and knew the wedding day would be a blast. They are very relaxed around eachother – they have this calming presence on everyone around them. You can tell their love is for real and their marriage will last. Some of my favorite wedding photography images of the year are the ones of the two of them in front of the white wall!
John Gillon from Events By Design did a wonderful job providing music, and the reception was a blast. Doesn’t the courtyard look awesome! Congrats you two!

Oh my gosh!!! This has been sitting in my drafts – I can’t believe I forgot to release it. Oh well, it can still be enjoyed eh?

From the beginning, these two have been a delight. You may remember their engagement session (here) That really rocked – Both Corrie and Melissa laugh so easily that we always have a blast together. Their wedding was coordinated by Erin (Behind The Bride) and was beautiful and really fun for the guests. We started shooting at the Hilton Mission Bay where Jennifer of Beauty-to-Be did Melissa’s hair and makeup – isn’t she the cutest bride!? At the ceremony, the breeze off the bay at the Admiral Kidd Club was a pleasant addition to the beautiful downtown San Diego skyline and the wedding arch adorned with bright flowers added another very nice touch.
Sara France joined me for this one and naturally delivered some amazing shots – she’s great. My favorites are from during and after the reception when we got to go outside for a little twilight shooting (our self-proclaimed specialty) and on the way to the docks where they left the reception the the sailboat waiting for them, all of the guests were given fiber-optic wands that made for some really fun pics.

A really cool touch…instead of sparklers, they opted for glowsticks – I love long exposures!!!

Happy Saturday to you all! I was just editing my wedding from last weekend and came across the most adorable picture! Catalina and Mark had an absolutely fabulous wedding last Sunday in Del Mar, and Bronson, Eder, and I had a great time on the wedding photography. This image is of their two girls – Madison and Taylor. They were the two flower girls in the wedding, and are simply adorable!

Hi everyone, I wanted to take sometime to introduce myself, my name is Eder Escamilla and I am a new member of the Bauman Photographers team.

I had the pleasure of getting to know the team through the internship program this past summer. I started in mid May and worked as an intern through October. The photography internship program was the best wedding photography education I could have asked for. It was a great way for me to learn all the different things that about a wedding studio from technical, artistic, and business points of views. It was also great learning from a team with such great personalities. Its never a dull moment at the Bauman Studio.

I am excited about having the opportunity to work with this studio, I could not say enough good things about these guys down here. Their upbeat approach to the work that they do creates personalized products that keep brides smiling.

In the coming months I look forward to contributing to the work that captures couples most special moments. I am going to be the full-time second shooter for the studio and taking on some weddings of my own.

I am also going to be taking care of the photography needs of the vendors that we work with at weddings. So if you are a coordinator, florist, DJ, makeup artist, or coordinator of a venue, please don’t hesitate to ask me for any images from a wedding or anything else that we can help you with.
